I've written more than a thousand itineraries, organized and conducted hundreds of tours especially for North Americans & Australians who visited Turkey in the last decade.
Although tour guiding is my full-time job, I do it with passion.
Major part of my income from guiding is actually spent mostly for improving my knowledge through traveling to Europe and seeing the major museums in Rome, Berlin, Paris etc.

The Two Helen's would very much like to say how much we enjoyed our trip to Ephesus with Tugrul as our guide. He made the whole place come alive for us especially the brief but full history on the emerging empires over the last centuries on his Ipad during a delicious Turkish buffet lunch. Excellent guide. Perfect English and excellent knowledge of sites. Allocated the appropriate time to each site and was flexible as to changes or additional or less time at various places. Did not steer us to any shopping sites. Knew how to bypass lines and get us priority entry where needed. Philipp V.
Tugrul was a motivated, knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide for us (family with 2 children 4/6) and went out of his way to customise our tour on the fly, to ensure everyone was happy. For instance, he made good use of his ipad to to provide comparison images of artefacts in other sites/museums in Europe, which made it easier to contextualize what we saw. When the children were a bit restless at one point, he was also able to change plans on the spot. Randy R.

Tugrul was a fantastic guide. Our party of 4 had never booked a guide before and this was an excellent experience. He answered all of our e-mails before the trip promptly, and when our cruise itinerary changed and we had to be in port a day early he went out of his way to rearrange his plans to help us. Tugrul was very knowledgeable about a wide range of subjects and made our tour most interesting. We plan on going back to Turkey and having him guide us on a much longer tour. He is great!! Anna P. Our guide, Mr Tugrul, was fabulous -- he had studied and received formal accreditation to be a professional guide. His knowledge of Turkey's history and culture was extensive. We had booked, not knowing how many would be on the tour. It turned out to be just the two of us so we had added flexibility to go more places. And that we did. The only downside to the tour, and it would be one that everyone would want, was that we were exhausted at the end from visiting and learning about so many places. We plan to return to Turkey again and will contact Mr. Tugrul for another tour. |
